Senior Project Engineer
Job Description
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will support complex railway signal system work from planning and design through execution on-site in Newark.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and coordinate complex construction, rehabilitation, and/or alteration activities for railway signal systems.
- Coordinate assigned project staff and/or contractors across design, development, and implementation efforts for complex engineering projects.
- Recommend standards and criteria for design and construction for complex engineering projects.
- Develop designs, proposals, schedules, and cost estimates for assigned projects.
- Evaluate progress and results of engineering activity; recommend changes to procedures as needed for assigned projects.
- Maintain liaison with internal and external individuals and units to support timely completion of assigned projects.
- Estimate human and other resource needs, and schedule work to meet completion dates and technical specifications.
- Prepare CAD drawings using MicroStation.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate Degree in electrical engineering plus three years of applied engineering experience, including project management experience.
- Equivalent substitution: six years of appropriate experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
