Senior Software Engineer

CEGSoft offers an onsite Senior Software Engineer role in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The position carries an annual salary of USD 70,000 to 76,000 and fosters a collaborative, flexible, and growth-focused culture. You will lead the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of software applications while partnering with product, UI/UX, and engineering teams, and mentoring fellow engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and continuously improve high quality software applications in line with Agile practices.
• Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions using best coding practices.
• Collaborate with product, UI/UX, and cross-functional teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with company goals.
• Engage in the full software development life cycle, including planning, development, testing, delivery, and documentation.
• Design and maintain databases, prototypes, and software architecture that support business growth.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues in close collaboration with the engineering team.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide project updates, and contribute ideas to enhance products and team processes.
• Mentor and support other engineers, promoting continuous learning and strong development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, preferred.
• Five or more years of proven experience as a Software Engineer, or equivalent knowledge and skills.
• Ability to work across any area of an application, including front-end, back-end, databases, and infrastructure.
• Experience with a variety of software development approaches and Agile methodology.
• Experience in both architecture-level and implementation-level software design.
