Job Description

Que Technology Group is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support the Advanced Analytics Team mission. The position focuses on requirements analysis, software application design and development, and the implementation of high-performance capabilities, including low-level operating system programming and binary analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications that support mission requirements.
  • Evaluate customer needs, produce software prototypes, and engineer technical solutions by translating conceptual designs into scalable software architectures.
  • Implement algorithms and develop solutions using object-oriented programming languages.
  • Perform software engineering activities and technical design work across the full lifecycle.
  • Analyze and understand legacy code to support ongoing engineering needs.
  • Develop efficient algorithms using data structures, dynamic programming, heuristics, and modeling techniques.
  • Conduct software testing and troubleshooting to maintain system reliability.
  • Work at the operating system level, including file I/O, system interfaces, and low-level programming concepts.
  • Build advanced tools for binary analysis, including shellcode detection, malware analysis, function identification, and reverse engineering of compiled software.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 11 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with Python, and the ability to read and understand C/C++ and Assembly (x86).
  • Experience with software architecture, operating system design, compilers, and debugging.
  • Ability to work with operating system internals and low-level development topics, including file I/O, system APIs, memory management, and executable program analysis.
