Software Engineer
Job Description
Software Engineer role focused on building and maintaining VeriPic's Digital Evidence Management SaaS across Azure, iOS, and Android.
Responsibilities
- Develop software using one or more of these languages: C, C++, C#, Go, Python, Node.js, or ASP .Net to support the VeriPic suite of products.
- Participate in product demonstrations as an applications engineer.
- Provide technical support about 25 percent of the time, including phone interactions as needed.
- Assist in maintaining internal computer networks and systems.
- Support multiple data centers in Ohio; travel roughly four times per year for duties.
- Full-time, in-office role with no remote option.
Requirements
- Understanding of Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Go, plus Python.
- Familiarity with Microsoft’s Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
- Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (React, Svelte, Vue, or Angular).
- Full-stack development experience including API design, data modeling, and authentication/authorization.
- CJIS compliance; candidates must be able to pass government background checks.

Software Skills Test
A coding test will be part of the interview process. Candidates should be prepared to write software in real time as interviewers assess performance.
Work Authorization Requirement
This role involves access to sensitive law enforcement technology and data subject to U.S. export control regulations. Applicants must be able to pass CJIS / FBI background checks and must already be authorized to work in the United States prior to interviewing.
