Software Engineer

Groundworks Operations, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and optimize software systems, including RESTful APIs and full-stack web applications. This onsite role in Irving, TX supports scalable cloud-based delivery, with Agile collaboration across product, architecture, QA, and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions aligned to business and technical requirements.
• Build scalable APIs, web applications, and backend services using modern engineering practices.
• Work with Product Managers, Architects, QA Engineers, and developers across the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning.
• Convert user stories into well-designed, maintainable software solutions.
• Apply best practices including clean code, modular design, secure development, and automated testing.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality.
• Troubleshoot production issues, resolve defects, and support system reliability and operational excellence.
• Contribute to application modernization and technical debt reduction efforts.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection practices.
• Support application monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization.
• Continuously expand technical knowledge through learning new technologies, frameworks, and engineering practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and business partners to deliver measurable business value.

• Experience troubleshooting application issues and resolving defects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Working Conditions

• Full-time role based at Groundworks’ corporate office in Irving, TX.
• Collaborative, fast-paced work environment requiring adaptability and effective time management.
• Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, training, or industry conferences.
• Base salary range: $100,000 - $125,000 per year, based on candidate experience.
