Software Engineer II

Hybrid in Allen, TX with the flexibility of remote work for candidates within about a 70-mile radius. Join a team building reliable, secure products using Angular, C#, .NET, REST APIs, and SQL Server, with a role that covers the full software delivery lifecycle from design through production support.

What you’ll do

• Participate in product technical design and prototyping, including software development and bug verification and resolution.
• With assistance, perform system analysis and programming work that supports timely, high-quality delivery into production.
• Support new and existing applications from code delivery through the application’s retirement, with guidance as needed.
• Test applications against business requirements and industry best practices.
• Create and modify routine, low-impact code by using established best practices and standard guidance.
• Collaborate with the QA team to help ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions aligned to customer needs and business objectives.
• May join critical tasks and deliverables, assisting with expectations on size, scope, and timelines.
• Adhere to documented departmental and corporate standards, and perform other duties as assigned.
• Conduct unit tests and integration tests to support reliability, security, and performance.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues as they arise, providing timely resolutions.

What you’ll need

• 2+ years of overall software development experience, including:
  • Angular development experience
  • C# / .NET development
  • REST API development and integration
  • SQL Server and database fundamentals
  • Experience debugging and troubleshooting application issues
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming concepts (async/await)
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and database best practices (for example, avoiding SQL injection)

Helpful experience

• Full stack development experience (UI, APIs, and database)
• Experience conducting or participating in code reviews
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar solutions
• Experience with modern development practices, source control, and collaborative development workflows
• Strong familiarity with OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities

• Salary: USD 76,400 - 98,000 per year, based on experience level
