Software Engineer, Perception Attributes Autolabeling Pipeline
Job Description
The Software Engineer will focus on building and maintaining data pipelines for autonomous vehicle perception, emphasizing reliability and scalable labeling workflows.
Location: Foster City, CA (onsite)
Compensation: USD 75 - 83 per hour
Responsibilities
- Build and operate the autolabeling pipeline to speed up vehicle attribute classification tasks
- Develop observability tooling to monitor system performance, latency, and failure modes
- Run experiments and analyze results to optimize labeling workflows
- Integrate the pipeline with existing systems, partnering with data infrastructure teams
- Document system architecture, prepare runbooks, and ensure smooth handoff at project completion
Requirements
- 3+ years of backend or data pipeline engineering experience
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with C++
- Experience handling large datasets using PySpark or similar tools
- Understanding of ML fundamentals including model inference, embeddings, and evaluation metrics
- Experience deploying foundation models such as Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic at production scale
