Software Engineer – Python & MongoDB Applications

Join CTRL + LLC to build and maintain mission-focused software in a role centered on modern Python and data services. This position is based in Fort Meade, MD (onsite) and supports work across containerized applications, automated CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes deployments. You’ll contribute to software that integrates commercial, government, and open-source components while working on a team that invests in people through comprehensive benefits and professional growth support.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and troubleshoot Python applications
• Integrate software with COTS, GOTS, and open-source libraries
• Build, deploy, and support containerized services
• Automate and maintain pipelines using GitLab CI and CI/CD practices
• Support application deployments on Kubernetes using Helm
• Develop, sustain, and troubleshoot mission software that integrates with commercial, government, and open-source products

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph required
• In-person work required
• Must live within commuting distance of Fort Meade, MD
• 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or 3 years with a Master’s, or 7 years without a degree)
• Working knowledge of Linux command-line tools
• Bash scripting experience
• Recent Python 3 development experience
• MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Experience with Docker and containerd
• Familiarity with GitLab CI and CI/CD practices
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm
• RabbitMQ familiarity
• Ansible familiarity
• Git experience

Preferred qualifications

• PostgreSQL or other SQL databases
• Jira and Confluence

Compensation and flexibility

$105.92–$116.95 per hour (approximate pay). The employer 401(k) contribution is additional. You can choose from three compensation models: Max Rate, With Bonus, or With Bonus and PTO.
