Structural Engineer
Job Description
Licensed Structural Engineer role focused on evaluating, designing, and certifying residential structures with some commercial work, onsite in Stateline, NV.
Responsibilities
- Assess structural feasibility by reviewing architectural and design concepts.
- Deliver stamped structural drawings and calculations as required.
- Coordinate with Talie Jane Interiors and Construction teams for site visits, consultations, and plan development.
- Recommend framing changes, reinforcements, or load-bearing adjustments as needed.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable local, state, and federal codes.
- Assist with permitting and respond to plan check comments from building departments.
- Provide guidance on foundation design, seismic requirements, and structural safety.
Requirements
- Professional Engineer licensure in Nevada and/or California with stamping authority (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of residential structural engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of wood framed construction, renovations, and luxury home design.
- Experience collaborating with interior design or construction firms is a favorable asset.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and CAD software.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Reliable, responsive, and collaborative team player.
- Working knowledge of local building codes and fluent understanding of TRPA regulations.
- Ability to commute to Stateline, NV 89449 (on-site).
- Work location: on-site in Stateline, NV 89449.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
