Switchgear Power System Engineer

Role Overview

The position is responsible for designing and continually supporting the AC Switchgear product line.

Primary Responsibilities

• Engineer and design new UL 891 switchgear and AC distribution products.
• Create and update as-built production drawings.
• Provide support to Production, Sales, and other team members.
• Prepare part fabrication drawings.
• Stay current with NEC, NFPA, IFC, and other applicable codes.
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies and components used in manufacturing.

Knowledge and Skills

• Five years of experience designing UL 891 switchgear and power systems.
• Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of current UL 891 and NEC standards.
• Understanding of design techniques and principles involved in production, drawings, and 2D/3D modeling.
• Understanding of electrical circuits.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation and Location

• Job Type: Full-Time.
• Salary: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year.
• Location: Carol Stream, IL 60188.
• Work Location: In person.
