Job Description

Technical Support Engineering role at Siemens Gamesa, onsite in Orlando, FL, focusing on wind turbine systems with 2-5 years of wind industry experience or an equivalent technical degree.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead intricate troubleshooting activities and provide peer-to-peer technical coaching and support
  • Perform on-site assessments domestically and internationally to optimize turbine performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Take ownership of critical fleet issues and help develop Work Control Packages (WCPs) for SGRE wind turbines
  • Deliver proactive technical guidance and resolution strategies for recurring fleet top issues
  • Monitor and track individual and team performance metrics to support the achievement of fiscal year operational goals
  • Present monthly technical overviews, product performance updates, and fleet reliability insights to key stakeholders

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in the wind energy industry or an equivalent engineering/technical degree
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally as required
  • Strong ability to interpret and analyze electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation
  • Proficiency with Power BI, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint for technical reporting, data analysis, and collaboration
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills within a field service or engineering support environment
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States, with no employer sponsorship required now or in the future
