A2G Senior Systems Engineer - Computing Solutions (Onsite)

Collins Aerospace’s Computing Solutions team in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to help shape next generation DAL A computing platforms for avionics. This onsite role centers on developing, certifying, and sustaining safety critical computing systems, requiring close collaboration with hardware, software, safety, and security teams and occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop system requirements for a highly integrated DAL A computing platform in alignment with ARP4754B and program plans.
• Lead architecture discussions to ensure designs are effective and certifiable, working closely with Hardware, Software, Safety, and Security teams.
• Travel about 10 percent of the time as needed.

Qualifications

• A STEM degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience.
• Experience with safety critical system hardware or software development (for example DO-178C, DO-254, or ARP4754A/B).
• Experience authoring and validating requirements.
