Job Description
Autonomy Software Engineer role at MORSE Corp, onsite in Cambridge, MA, with a salary range of USD 90,000 to 210,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and prototype novel autonomy software and algorithms for autonomous systems
- Develop and evaluate autonomy software from idea to implementation, including sensor selection, software development, and data analysis
- Design, develop, and test algorithms for autonomous systems, including sensor fusion, guidance, navigation, and control
- Write and validate code in simulation and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) environments, and participate in field tests of autonomy software on vehicles and systems
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in an agile setting to quickly design, prototype, and test autonomous systems
Requirements
- US citizenship required or the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
- Experience delivering real-world solutions under computational constraints, accounting for measurement errors and modeling uncertainty
- 5+ years of Autonomy, Guidance, Navigation and/or Controls experience
- Experience developing both algorithms and the simulations used for test and validation
- Expertise in positioning, navigation, and timing, particularly for aircraft
- Experience on complex, multi-disciplinary R&D programs is preferred
- BS or MS (preferred) in Aeronautical/Aerospace or Electrical Engineering (Control or Signal Processing focus) or equivalent degree/major
