Desktop Support Engineer
Job Description
On-demand, onsite desktop support role for enterprise clients at the client location in Durham, NC.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on-site desktop and IT support to end users at the client location
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Windows desktops, laptops, and associated peripherals
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications
- Support and troubleshoot network connectivity, including LAN connectivity issues
- Assist with device setup, replacement, and on-site hardware installations
- Perform basic network troubleshooting when required using console access
- Document service activities and provide updates to the service delivery team
- Follow client IT policies and security procedures during onsite work
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments
- Experience troubleshooting and replacing hardware
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including LAN connectivity, network switches, and network routers
- Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in onsite support environments
