Desktop Support Engineer

Sentinel is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide hands-on onsite support for a customer in Milwaukee, WI. This role focuses on troubleshooting day-to-day technology problems, performing diagnostics and repairs, and delivering strong customer service while supporting both hardware and connectivity needs.

This is an onsite position with independent ownership of routine issues and collaboration with senior engineers when problems are more complex. Experience level requirement is 2 years, and the role includes travel between customer and equipment locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support, troubleshoot technology issues, and deliver exceptional customer service to the Milwaukee, WI customer.
• Handle routine issues independently while working with senior engineers on more complex problems.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in a similar desktop support role.
• A+ Certification required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Ability to perform diagnostics, repairs, and parts replacements on computer equipment.
• Ability to support desktop, server, and basic network environments.
• SCCM experience preferred.
• Maintain accurate service documentation, ticket updates, and time records.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and build positive client relationships.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. independently and up to 150 lbs. with assistance.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including standing, squatting, lifting from floor to waist and from waist to over shoulders, with twisting, bending, and crawling as needed.
• Must have a car for travel between location and transportation of equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Must demonstrate a can-do attitude.
