Desktop Support Engineer (Dispatch /Part-Time)

Axiom Technologies is hiring a Desktop Support Engineer (Dispatch / Part-Time) for on-demand, on-site IT support for enterprise clients in West Point, PA. This independent contractor (1099) role provides dispatch-based field work through the Service Delivery Team, with assignments shared as support is needed.

You will be responsible for delivering hands-on desktop and IT assistance at client locations, helping end users quickly and professionally while following site IT policies and security procedures. The position includes an immediate start and no guaranteed number of working hours.

What You’ll Do

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues for Windows desktops and laptops, including printers and peripherals
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications
• Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting
• Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations
• Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team
• Follow client IT policies and required security procedures during onsite work

What You Bring

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting and replacement
• Basic understanding of networking, including LAN connectivity, switches, and routers
• Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently in onsite support environments

• Engineers are contacted via phone or email when support is required
• Before each assignment, engineers receive site location, SPOC details, and reporting time

• Tools required to carry: Windows laptop, LAN cable, console cable, screwdriver toolkit, and basic IT troubleshooting tools
