Responsibilities

  • Design electrical and communications systems for diverse construction applications.
  • Develop innovative design solutions for complex projects across California.
  • Clearly communicate design intent to clients and project teams.
  • Manage workloads to meet project deadlines and milestones.
  • Collaborate with a motivated team to achieve project success and client satisfaction.
  • Create conceptual designs and construction documents using AutoCAD.
  • Prepare project specifications and coordinate equipment space, performance, and utility system requirements.
  • Perform construction administration tasks including submittal reviews, RFI responses, and site observations.
  • Develop building energy and lighting models to support California Title 24 energy compliance.
  • Conduct detailed engineering analyses such as load, voltage drop, and short-circuit calculations; assess equipment protection and cost/lifecycle considerations.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience as a designer of electrical and communications systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design producing construction documents.
  • Project manager or lead engineer/designer experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of relevant codes including California Title 24, California Electrical Code/NEC, and Green Building Codes.

Experience
