Electrical Engineer-Prototype Design

Overview

Auto-Chlor is seeking an Electrical Engineer for Equipment Design to lead our engineering development initiatives. This role supports a People First culture and is based in-office full-time at our Memphis facility in Memphis, TN 38105.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements solutions for dishwasher and dispensing innovation projects, including new equipment development and enhancements to existing equipment
• Manages project durations that range from two months to over a year based on the Project Brief
• Ensures regulatory compliance with agencies such as NSF, CSA, UL, BOCA, ASSE, UPC, and Federal, State, and Local authorities
• Supports the field sales team on regulatory issues, focusing on maintaining customer equipment operation without disruption to business
• Provides technical support to field sales teams, contractors, consultants, engineers, and architects
• Develops and manages technical documentation for design control and field use

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or comparable years of work experience
• 5 to 10 years of electrical and electronic design experience, with experience collaborating with regulatory agencies
• Experience in the commercial appliance industry is preferred
• Embedded software and hardware design capabilities
• Knowledge of codes and standards for plumbing, sanitation, electrical, and building (NSF, CSA, UL, BOCA, ASSE, UPC, FDA)
• Electrical and electronic circuit design expertise
• CAD modeling experience, Autodesk Inventor preferred
