Job Description

Oak Point Associates seeks a licensed Electrical Professional Engineer for a hybrid, full-time role based in Biddeford, Maine, with potential assignments in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The position emphasizes electrical system design and construction administration, and requires a professional engineering license along with extensive industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop designs for power, lighting, communications and electronic security systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, architects, interior designers and landscape architects to identify creative design solutions
  • Produce typical deliverables such as one-line diagrams, conduit and wire sizing, panelboard schedules, device and fixture layouts, lighting calculations, and specifications with cost estimates
  • Manage Construction Administration activities including submittal reviews, shop drawings, RFIs, and site inspections

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) from an accredited university, preferably with a power or building sciences emphasis
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Professional Engineer license in Maine or New Hampshire or eligibility to obtain via reciprocity
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, plus Microsoft Word and Excel
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Interest in designing electrical systems for commercial, institutional and government facilities
