Job Description

Nucentra Solutions seeks two on-site positions: an Experienced Project and Mechanical Engineer and a Local Master Electrician. Both roles require hands-on field and shop work within manufacturing environments, with duties spanning engineering design, system implementation, and field wiring for data center enclosures.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project scheduling to ensure timely achievement of engineering milestones and product launches
  • Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot mechanical failures and optimize system performance
  • Develop detailed mechanical schematics, system diagrams, and technical drawings using SolidWorks, Creo, or other CAD tools
  • Conduct tolerance analysis and create precise mechanical detail drawings in compliance with ASME codes and standards
  • Design mechanical components and assemblies using 3D modeling for product development and manufacturing feasibility
  • Apply MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, and Arduino for system modeling, control logic development, and prototype testing
  • Support manufacturing processes including CNC machining, FEA simulations, and building information modeling (BIM) tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development from concept through production to preserve design integrity
  • Prepare technical documentation including schematics, mechanical drawings, and system specifications aligned with industry standards
  • Wiring pre-fab power generating enclosures used in data centers; this is a hands-on field role at the plant, not a managerial position
  • Lead and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on construction sites, commercial buildings, and renovation projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate wiring and system setup
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, schematics, and testing devices to complete electrical tasks safely and efficiently
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, high voltage systems, and NEC compliant wiring
  • Conduct inspections using ohmmeters and other testing devices to verify circuit integrity and troubleshoot electrical issues
  • Supervise electricians and apprentices on-site, ensuring work meets safety standards and project specifications
  • Ensure compliance with local codes and safety regulations, including NEC standards for high and low voltage systems
  • Assist with renovating existing electrical systems by upgrading wiring, panels, or components as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on mechanical systems
  • Strong proficiency in project scheduling tools and methodologies for managing complex initiatives
  • Expertise in 3D CAD modeling with SolidWorks and Creo for detailed design and visualization
  • Skilled in mechanical drafting, GD&T application, tolerance analysis, and creation of precise mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of engineering product development processes from concept to manufacturing implementation
  • Familiarity with PLCs, LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink for control system integration and automation projects
  • Experience with BIM tools for integrated project planning and design coordination
  • Ability to perform finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate structural integrity under varying loads
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles including system design, schematics creation, and component selection
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of ASME codes and standards applicable to pressure vessels, piping, or mechanical components
  • Extensive industrial electrician experience combined with commercial electrical expertise
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams for complex electrical systems
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, schematics, and industrial control systems
  • Strong knowledge of NEC standards for both high voltage and low voltage applications
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other electrical testing equipment
  • Construction site experience with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Ability to interpret technical documents while maintaining strict safety protocols
  • Bachelor's degree (required)
