Help Desk Engineer
Job Description
Heritage Senior Living is seeking a full-time, on-site IT Help Desk Engineer in West Allis, Wisconsin. In this role, you will provide practical IT support, configure workstations and devices, manage user administration, and handle network and security tasks to keep operations running smoothly across our organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely responses to help desk emails and phone inquiries and document tickets for tracking and resolution.
- Configure and deploy workstations, including laptops, desktops, and printers.
- Provision mobile devices (iPhone and Android) and enroll them in our MDM solution.
- Configure tablet devices (iPads and Android tablets).
- Manage user accounts across Active Directory, Office 365, SharePoint and other systems.
- Provide initial training and ongoing assistance to new users on computer usage and available software.
- Create training materials and lead information systems training sessions.
- Inspect hardware components such as hard drives, mice, and keyboards to confirm proper operation.
- Support audio and visual needs when required, including projectors, displays, PowerPoint, and conference calls.
- Install and configure software and drivers per specifications, including printers, copiers, and check scanning tools.
- Stay current with IT trends and system changes, recommending improvements as appropriate.
- Help develop and maintain the local network to optimize performance and document emergency procedures.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware faults, investigating and resolving issues.
- Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
- Plan and coordinate upgrades and maintenance to minimize disruption to others.
- Maintain logs of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedules.
- Identify shortages of computer or network equipment and address accordingly.
