IT Support Engineer I
Job Description
Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an IT Support Engineer I to deliver practical technical solutions and dependable support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software across a defined geographic region. This onsite role in South Gate, CA focuses on addressing straightforward technical issues, maintaining infrastructure availability during production hours, and contributing to ongoing IT improvements. The position offers an hourly rate ranging from USD 25 to 41.
Responsibilities
- Engage in network engineering and troubleshooting, data cabling, and systems administration across diverse software and hardware environments.
- Keep infrastructure networking and computing systems up and running during production hours.
- Collaborate with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous IT solution improvements.
- Manage local technical projects and initiatives.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and processes to support operations.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
- Move up to 49 pounds and stand or walk for shifts up to 12 hours.
- Support customers from multiple buildings in the area as well as remote customers.
- Travel within the local or regional area to assist our customers.
Requirements
- 1+ years of Windows Server technologies experience including Active Directory, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
- 2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment.
- 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and asset liquidation experience.
- 1+ years of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
- 2+ years of networking experience covering DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI model, and TCP/IP.
- 2+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux operating systems support experience.
- 2+ years of supporting and maintaining a corporate network environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
