Responsibilities

  • Adhere to safety rules and actively support plant safety initiatives
  • Oversee multiple new product development projects through a Stage Gate framework, crafting plans and timelines
  • Direct cross-functional teams to meet key milestones and deliverables
  • Conduct regular reviews of NPD activities to communicate progress, reaffirm priorities, and coordinate support
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers to define test plans and qualification requirements
  • Set up and operate manufacturing equipment as needed for prototype construction and development
  • Support qualification programs through engineering trials and product testing
  • Participate in value stream, productivity, product quality, safety, and waste improvement efforts within the area
  • Collect technical data to determine equipment performance specifications
  • Lead capital projects and prepare ACE requests
  • Support operational technology systems and applications using LabVIEW, ShopView, SAP, and Power BI
  • Apply principles of electrical and optical signal transmission to product characteristics and process impact
  • Mentor engineering technicians to ensure successful project completion

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Catia V4/V5, Pro/Engineer Wildfire/CREO, and/or SolidWorks
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings, specifications, and other engineering documents
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with manufacturing, sales, and customers/suppliers
  • Broad engineering competence across electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing/industrial disciplines, with focus in one or more areas
  • DOE and statistical data analysis experience is highly beneficial
  • Wire, cable, and interconnect experience is beneficial
  • Experience or knowledge in Aerospace or Medical/FDA environments is beneficial
  • Project management skills are desirable
  • Ability to write technical protocols and reports
  • Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking, understanding)
  • Experience with New Product Development Stage Gate processes, product testing, and Design/Process FMEA realization and sustainment
