Robotic Eye Design Engineer
Job Description
This on-site role in Herndon, VA focuses on hands-on robotics and CAD for smart contact lens development, with compensation of $30 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Design and prototype robotic eye models, lens-handling fixtures, and motion platforms for smart lens testing.
- Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and fabrication-ready drawings in Autodesk Fusion 360.
- Integrate motors, servos, actuators, cameras, encoders, and sensors into benchtop robotic systems.
- Build test setups for lens alignment, gaze simulation, sensor response, and repeatability studies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
