Job Description

A Senior Civil Engineer I/II focusing on land development in Irvine, CA with hybrid remote options and a salary range of USD 95,000 - 120,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project designs by weighing constraints, site perimeter conditions, project goals, agency standards, and established engineering practices.
  • Support construction administration tasks such as handling RFIs, submittals, and implementing construction changes.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
  • Prepare technical reports and perform advanced calculations in hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, stormwater detention, and utility sizing.
  • Execute complex grading design and earthwork calculations.
  • Deliver comprehensive outputs to team members or project managers and external stakeholders, including full QAQC and completeness checks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent; 5 to 7 years of land development design experience, depending on prior roles.
  • Minimum of 2 years of independent experience solving complex engineering problems within land development.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, LDD, and/or Civil 3D.
  • Engineering In Training (EIT) Certification.
  • Self-motivated, curious problem-solver who works well both independently and in a team.
