Senior Civil Engineer I/II - Land Development
Job Description
A Senior Civil Engineer I/II focusing on land development in Irvine, CA with hybrid remote options and a salary range of USD 95,000 - 120,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Develop project designs by weighing constraints, site perimeter conditions, project goals, agency standards, and established engineering practices.
- Support construction administration tasks such as handling RFIs, submittals, and implementing construction changes.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
- Prepare technical reports and perform advanced calculations in hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, stormwater detention, and utility sizing.
- Execute complex grading design and earthwork calculations.
- Deliver comprehensive outputs to team members or project managers and external stakeholders, including full QAQC and completeness checks.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or equivalent; 5 to 7 years of land development design experience, depending on prior roles.
- Minimum of 2 years of independent experience solving complex engineering problems within land development.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, LDD, and/or Civil 3D.
- Engineering In Training (EIT) Certification.
- Self-motivated, curious problem-solver who works well both independently and in a team.
