Job Description

PegasusTSI offers a hybrid work arrangement in Tampa, Florida for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer. This role emphasizes leadership of civil and structural projects within a collaborative, growth-minded culture while providing a comprehensive benefits package. You will ensure calculations, drawings, and specifications align with project requirements, manage schedules and budgets, and guide engineers, designers, and CAD drafters across multidisciplinary teams. The position also supports ongoing professional development through training and mentorship, with opportunities to work on projects in refining, fertilizer, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries. Some travel to U.S. and international sites is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects as Lead Engineer and Professional Engineer, sealing all Civil/Structural documents for the project
  • Generate and verify calculations; prepare specifications and drawings
  • Conduct thorough reviews of CAD drawings
  • Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with engineers, designers, and CAD drafters while coordinating with other disciplines
  • Design steel structures, concrete structures, and foundations to support structures or equipment
  • Design underground piping, sumps, and drainage systems
  • Prepare architectural layouts, labor estimates, project staffing plans, and material take-offs for Project Controls
  • Prepare CSA scope documents and deliver project technical documentation
  • Deliver technical documents on schedule and within budget
  • Contribute to updating or creating departmental procedures, specifications, and standards
  • Support performance management systems and assist project teams in reaching performance goals
  • Maintain a high level of technical competency and pursue ongoing training
  • Travel as needed, within the U.S. and internationally

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering or M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 15 to 25 years of experience in refining, fertilizer, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries
  • Current valid Professional Engineer license; willingness to obtain additional registrations
  • NCEES Record or plan to obtain one
  • TWIC card or ability to obtain one
  • Proficiency with STAAD.Pro, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with spMats and spColumn
  • Working knowledge of MicroStation CAD, BricsCad, and AutoCAD
  • Strong working knowledge of IBC, OSHA, ASCE-7, and Florida Building Code
  • Excellent NavisWorks skills with 3D laser scan data
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Working knowledge of site drainage, underground piping, and architectural work is a plus
  • Ability to travel within the U.S. and internationally
