This full-time, in-person position is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with opportunities in our Indiana or Wisconsin offices as part of growing Transportation design services.
Position Summary
Join the Kapur team as a Senior Structural Engineer in our Indiana or Wisconsin office and play a key role in expanding Transportation design services. We are looking for a highly motivated, collaborative, proactive professional who delivers quality work.
Responsibilities
- Lead project management activities including defining scope and budget, preparing proposal technical sections, delivering interview presentations, participating in contract negotiations, maintaining client communications, and ensuring on-time, satisfactory project delivery.
- Execute technical discipline tasks such as analysis, reporting, design, and specification preparation.
- Manage and review design related calculations, reports, plans, and specifications.
- Oversee project staffing, including mentoring, recruitment, development, retention, and succession planning; develop staffing reporting plans and support performance reviews.
- Coordinate with internal project teams and clients to address design issues or concerns.
- Contribute to business development efforts by building client relationships.
- Support the growth of the structures group through recruitment, hiring, and staff development initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 10 years of relevant experience
- Four years of successful management of engineering projects
- Familiarity with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications
- Desire to mentor young staff
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Strong reputation and client relationships in the transportation market
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary and Benefits
Salary range: $90,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
