Sheet Metal Engineer II

Overview

Location: Mesa, AZ. Employment type: Full-time. Salary: $69,123.87 - $83,245.95 per year. The engineer will prepare reports and develop plans and cost estimations for various engineering design projects. This role involves establishing sequences of events, part routings, proper operating method sheets, labor standards, layouts, tool concepts, part and equipment costs, and quality plans. The position also requires determining parts, equipment, and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications. Due to the sensitive nature of this position, candidates must be US Citizens. Reports to: General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Create sheet metal models using SolidWorks.
• Organize and maintain product documentation and specifications.
• DFM review for new products.
• Analyze and research methods to increase productivity, reduce production costs, and improve yield.
• Generate required manufacturing documents and place into document control and the quality system.
• Identify potential process, equipment, and material improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during production to ensure product integrity.
• Maintain a complex ERP system managing BOMs, production routes, sub-jobs, and purchasing.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum experience: 5 years in the sheet metal engineering field.
• Minimum additional training: None specified.
• Skills: Proficient in SolidWorks, Excel, and Paperless Parts.
• Citizenship: US citizens only.
• Work location: In person.

Experience

• Mechanical Engineers: 5 years required.
• Engineering: 5 years required.
