Software Engineer L0

Jovian Concepts is hiring a Software Engineer Level 0 for an onsite role in the Annapolis Junction, MD 20701 area. In this position, you will help build GUIs and interactive dashboards, deploy and operate applications in AWS, and support automated workflows. You will also integrate AI/ML models into existing systems and work with a team across the software development lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain user-friendly GUIs and interactive dashboards.
• Design, deploy, and manage applications and infrastructure in AWS, integrating new features into existing tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the software development lifecycle.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows to streamline processes, and monitor/optimize them over time.
• Integrate AI/ML models into existing systems to enhance functionality and improve decision-making, including monitoring and optimization of model performance.
• Utilize appropriate software development and software design methodologies for the development environment.
• Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
• Resolve software problem reports.
• Provide input to system design components, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and the use of COTS/GOTS versus new development, along with requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Required Qualifications

• Current and active TS/SCI clearance with MD polygraph is required to be considered.
• No demonstrated experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
