Applications Engineer

Hydro-Gear is seeking an Applications Engineer to join a collaborative, customer-focused team serving direct turf OEMs. This onsite role emphasizes technical guidance, application optimization, and coordinating development projects and on-site visits in partnership with an Account Manager to deliver practical, field-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a team environment with a customer Account Manager to build and sustain positive relationships with direct turf OEM accounts
• Deliver technical support, guidance, and solutions for direct turf OEM customers and Hydro-Gear products
• Contribute to vehicle development projects and ensure proper application of hydraulic and electric products for the direct turf OEM market
• Provide ongoing technical support for development, maintenance, and service of applications for direct turf OEM customers
• Schedule and conduct on-site visits with direct turf OEM accounts to review new development projects, current production applications, field service needs, and warranty support

Requirements

• A college degree in a related technical field (electrical or mechanical engineering) is preferred
• Minimum 3 years of customer-facing experience
• Strong technical hands-on aptitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to collaborate in an account-team environment with travel up to 40%

Location

On-site roles are available in Indianapolis, IN or Sullivan, IL
