Job Description

Regional Business Development Manager (Applications Sales Engineer) with Linde in Seattle, WA (onsite) is responsible for identifying, developing and closing new business opportunities in the West Region, leveraging technical expertise and the Linde portfolio, with 50% plus travel.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new customers and grow the existing base in the designated territory, including prospecting, lead generation and qualification, market and customer strategy, business case development and analysis, proposal development and technology pricing recommendations, sales technical support, and oversight of project implementation and startup to drive profitable sales aligned with regional and national objectives.
  • Continuously identify, research and analyze potential markets or niches, regional and local activity, competition, evolving industry needs, product applications and business opportunities; design and execute market initiatives and growth campaigns with customer communications.
  • Monitor competitive activity within the territory and develop appropriate response strategies; articulate the value of financials, users, internal operations, competitive advantages and the Linde technology portfolio.
  • Establish and grow relationships with prospective customers, industry consultants and vendors.
  • Collaborate with internal partners including Sales, Linde Technology, National BD, applications equipment and customer service; utilize all available Linde resources to achieve goals; participate with other BD and sales personnel in strategy development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience, ideally in technical sales within a relevant industry
  • Ability to travel over 50% is required
  • Proven track record of acquiring and growing a customer base, resilience and delivering results
