Controls Design Engineer
Job Description
The Controls Design Engineer role at National Bulk Equipment Inc. is an onsite position in Holland, MI, offering USD 70,000 - 90,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Perform Electrical Schematic Design using AutoCad Electrical for standard electrical component selection, schematic development, control panel layout, control panel bill of materials, terminal box layouts, and component tag generation.
- Support additional documentation requirements that may include P&ID's, Interconnection Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams, Conduit Schedules, Harness Lists, Instrument Lists, I/O Lists, P&ID's and other required documents as outlined by customer specifications.
- Work directly with mechanical engineers, project managers, and sales/application engineers to fully understand project scope and functional requirements.
- Interpret customer specifications and ensure all electrical design outputs comply with those requirements, as well as NBE's engineering standards.
- Participate in design reviews, offering recommendations for improved functionality, efficiency, or cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with AutoCAD Electrical, or similar electrical CAD software, is required.
- Solid understanding of AC/DC electrical systems, safety systems, and automation components is required.
