Engineer I

Engineer I is an entry level maintenance role supporting daily operations and assigned activities, with administrative and technical support guided by department management.

• Shift: Second shift (3:00PM - 11:30PM)
• Onsite location: Punta Gorda, FL 33980
• Experience level: Minimum 1 years

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders
• Walk daily routes and make necessary repairs
• Perform other job-related duties as requested
• Use diagnostic tools such as Amp Meters, Voltmeters, OHM meters, compound gauges, and pressure gauges (and similar equipment)
• Work from blueprints and schematics and interpret manufacturer guidelines for operation and maintenance of related equipment
• Use hand and power tools
• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and facilities fixtures, furnishings, and equipment
• Communicate effectively in English in written and verbal formats
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong interpersonal communication with business contacts
• Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance in line with company standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience in a resort setting (preferred)
• HVAC experience (preferred)
• Combination of education and experience will be considered
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
• Mature personal discretion and sound judgment
• Strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, and superior problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills with attention to quality and detail
• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts
• Professional appearance and demeanor
