IT Support Engineer I
Job Description
IT Support Engineer I, onsite in Dallas, TX, provides technical solutions and high-quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software across a defined geographical area, including troubleshooting and IT infrastructure work. Compensation ranges from USD 25 to 41 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Design, diagnose, and maintain network infrastructure, data cabling, and system administration across diverse software and hardware environments.
- Ensure network and computing systems remain available during production hours.
- Collaborate with management and staff to deliver analytical insights and technical support that drive IT solution improvements.
- Lead local IT projects and coordinate related activities.
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and processes.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies to improve performance.
- Provide support to customers across multiple buildings and to remote users within the area.
- Travel within the local or regional area to assist customers as needed.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience with Windows Server technologies, including Active Directory, DFS, Print Services, and SCCM.
- At least two years of troubleshooting in a multi-user, high-availability environment.
- At least two years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and decommissioning experience.
- At least one year of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
- At least two years of networking experience, including DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP.
- At least two years of experience supporting Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems in a corporate setting.
- At least two years of experience supporting and maintaining a corporate network environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
