Software Engineer

This onsite role at Lockheed Martin RMS offers flexible schedules, competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off. Based in King of Prussia, PA, you will contribute to RF system software in an Agile Scrum environment, interfacing with hardware using C++, Linux scripting, and Qt GUI development, with responsibilities spanning design, documentation, and hardware integration.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily stand-up meetings, bi-weekly sprint planning, release planning, and demonstrations
• Develop software that interfaces with hardware components
• Ensure open and modular hardware and software interfaces align with RF system compliance
• Collaborate in a cross-functional Agile Scrum team to design and build technically complex software systems
• Specify sub-system architecture and requirements, craft detailed designs, produce design documentation, implement software via test driven development, and support feature acceptance testing
• Support the current software architecture built with C++, Linux scripting, and Qt GUI, using Git for configuration management
• Foster cross-team collaboration and promote software development best practices
• Work closely with the Product Owner, Software Architect, and Chief Engineer to support customer design reviews and milestone events

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, applied statistics, engineering disciplines, or related STEM field
• 1 year of professional experience with a related Bachelor’s degree; or related Master’s degree may waive experience requirement
• Top Secret security clearance required prior to start
• Experience with object oriented programming
• Experience with software practices and configuration management tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence

Work Schedule and Location

The position is full-time, first shift, and requires on-site work at a Lockheed Martin facility in King of Prussia, PA. The role follows a 4x10 hour day schedule, providing three consecutive days off each week.

Security and Citizenship

This role requires U.S. citizenship and a government security clearance. A Top Secret clearance is required prior to start.
