Software Engineer - Test & Automation

Software Engineer - Test & Automation will help validate, automate, and improve enterprise networking products through hands-on testing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and validation procedures for networking products and solutions
• Run feature, system, integration, and regression testing to support product quality and reliability
• Troubleshoot and debug complex networking and software issues
• Build and maintain Python-based automation scripts and test frameworks to improve validation efficiency
• Collaborate with Product Management, Development, and Quality Engineering teams
• Support validation of networking reference designs and customer deployment scenarios
• Identify, document, reproduce, and track defects through resolution
• Contribute to release readiness and product quality initiatives
• Create technical documentation and validation reports
• Work effectively within globally distributed engineering teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree and typically 5+ years of relevant experience in networking, validation engineering, testing, or quality engineering
• Strong Python programming, scripting, or automation experience
• Knowledge of software testing and validation methodologies
• Skills in test automation development and debugging
• Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
• Root-cause analysis capabilities
• Experience working with automation frameworks or automated testing solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Experience working in Linux or similar development environments

• Routing and switching concepts
• Exposure to networking products or infrastructure environments
• BGP, OSPF, or MPLS knowledge
