Technical Support Engineer - Automotive / Heavy Duty Trucks
Job Description
Stefanini North America and APAC is hiring a Technical Support Engineer to support automotive and heavy duty truck stakeholders on-site in the Greensboro, NC area (also covering Hagerstown, MD). The role focuses on specialized technical assistance, advanced diagnostics, and root cause analysis to help resolve complex product and workshop tool concerns.

Role Responsibilities
- Provide specialized technical assistance to dealers and company stakeholders to facilitate resolution of complex product technical concerns and workshop tools.
- Offer technical support and problem solving for issues reported by the market.
- Visit markets and customers when technical problems are reported to support investigation and resolution.
- Lead root cause analysis for product quality issues, define containment action when applicable, and follow up to confirm solution effectiveness.
- Utilize data acquisition and analysis tools to support advanced diagnostics.
- Apply expert-level knowledge of data acquisition and data analysis to diagnose truck issues.
- Apply expert-level knowledge of the design and development of Class 8 truck powertrain, chassis, and electrical/electronic systems, including in-depth knowledge of truck troubleshooting and repair and NA workshop service practices.
- May provide onsite training for customer support personnel.
Experience and Qualifications
- 8 years or more of relevant experience as a Technical Support Engineer focused on specialized technical assistance to dealers and company stakeholders to resolve complex product technical concerns and workshop tools.
- Expert-level knowledge of data acquisition and data analysis for diagnosing truck issues.
- Expert-level knowledge of the design and development of Class 8 truck powertrain, chassis, and electrical/electronic systems, along with in-depth knowledge of truck troubleshooting and repair and NA workshop service practices.
