This Structural Design Engineer role is based in Concord, California with Ficcadenti Waggoner and Castle Structural Engineers. The position focuses on designing substantial structures, incorporating prefabricated construction approaches, and coordinating with clients and on-site teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design significant structures using concrete, steel, wood, masonry, timber, cold-formed steel, and fiber reinforced plastic
- Develop designs that integrate prefabricated construction methods
- Engage with clients to gather requirements and provide design updates
- Perform site inspections and collaborate with contractors on project execution
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout project cycles
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Professional Engineer license is preferred
- Knowledge of design software such as SAP, ETABS, RISA, Enercalc, Bluebeam, and Revit is preferred
- Self-motivated and team oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop innovative solutions for complex problems
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Compensation
Salary range: USD 90,000 - 125,000 per year.
