Structural Engineer
Job Description
As a Structural Engineer with Kennedy/Jenks Consulting, you will provide structural consulting and construction administration for water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with emphasis on seismic design and life safety. This on-site role in Oregon requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus and a minimum of six years of consulting experience.

USD 140,000 - 185,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering projects across concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and composite systems to develop robust structural solutions for projects of varying scale; prepare related specifications and drawings as part of the structural discipline.
- Design and analyze structures for water and wastewater facilities, including treatment plant buildings, tanks, clarifiers, and other process components situated in high seismic regions; may include evaluation of existing structures.
- Engineer pump stations and the accompanying buildings, piping networks, and support structures.
- Experience with RISA 3D, Enercalc, RAM Elements, RAM Structural Systems, and STAAD is preferred.
- Lead structural engineering tasks during construction as part of a multidisciplinary team; perform on-site structural observations.
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver solutions to clients nationwide, supporting municipal agencies and industrial facilities.
- Utilize BIM tools to deliver projects and provide interactive environments for client input from planning through design and construction; Revit experience is preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering focus.
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a consulting structural engineer; experience with industrial or municipal infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Proven experience guiding structural projects from conception through completion, including collaboration, design, analysis, and construction phase.
- Strong knowledge of structural design principles, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D/BIM modeling.
- Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) in the state of Oregon is required.
