Data Engineer, Deal Intelligence & Automation

This Data Engineer role in the GDSP team at AWS focuses on designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, data models, and platforms to enable deal intelligence and automation across the organization. The role partners with product management and engineering, leveraging AWS services and generative AI to raise data quality and insights. The position is onsite in Santa Monica, CA, with a salary range of USD 154,600 to 209,100 per year.

Responsibilities

• Design and sustain the backend data infrastructure powering analytical and visualization platforms, ensuring data is accurate, timely, and ready for downstream consumption
• Translate business problems into technical data requirements, collaborating with product management and stakeholders to determine which data products to build
• Automate and streamline reporting workflows to support scalable self-service analytics, reducing manual effort and accelerating insights
• Establish measurement frameworks and metrics that quantify deal execution performance and metrics for operational health
• Maintain data quality through monitoring, validation, auditing, and thorough documentation of pipelines and data sources
• Leverage AWS services and generative AI to deliver next-generation data solutions that boost efficiency and unlock new analytical capabilities

Requirements

• At least five years of data engineering experience
• Proficiency in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
• Experience mentoring team members on engineering best practices
