Electrical Engineer II

Aequor Technologies is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to join the Utilities team at the Vacaville, CA site. This onsite contract position focuses on electrical design, project management, and technical leadership across a 24/7 manufacturing facility. The six-month engagement, paid at $58.00 per hour, offers the opportunity to influence electrical designs, support field implementations, and drive energy conservation initiatives within a regulated industrial environment. The role is based at Vacaville, CA 95688.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed designs for small to mid-scale projects, including drawing mark-ups, load calculations, coordination studies, short circuit calculations, voltage drop calculations, equipment specifications, and ensure compliance with company standards and applicable codes.
• Lead design reviews for large projects to confirm system compatibility, conformance, and constructability.
• Provide field inspection and support for electrical, security, fire alarm, data/telecom, and instrument/control installations.
• Review electrical power, security, fire alarm, and instrument/control drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify, scope, and manage energy conservation projects.
• Troubleshoot power quality problems in support of the maintenance group and JLL.
• Lead project engineering and management for electrical projects and select non-electrical work as needed.
• Provide technical support for the maintenance group on electrical related operational issues.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on utility bottlenecks and corrective action solutions.
• Provide technical support for SHE on permit applications.
• Review and approve changes to Vacaville electrical drawings and related documentation.
• Review and approve Change Records impacting validated electrical systems.
• Not required but preferred.
