Software Engineer III

Software Engineer III position with Walmart in Bentonville, AR (hybrid), focusing on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years of full stack development
• Frontend: JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML5, CSS3
• Backend: Java (Spring Boot), Node.js, or Python
• Databases: SQL and NoSQL knowledge
• APIs: Designing and consuming RESTful services
• Cloud: Hands-on with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP acceptable)
• Version control: Git and collaborative development workflows
• Testing: Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests

Compensation

Salary range: USD 90,000 - 180,000 per year

Minimum Qualifications

• Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years of software engineering or related experience
• Option 2: 4 years of software engineering or related experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area
• Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and applying accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.2 AA), assistive technologies, and seamless accessibility integration
• Knowledge of implementing accessible design and development practices
• Additional preference for a Master’s degree in Computer Science
