Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for mission-driven work at Camp Lejeune, NC (onsite). In this role, you will build and evolve data pipelines and analytic solutions in an agile setting, helping make structured and unstructured data usable for clients. What you’ll do
- Implement data engineering activities on mission-focused projects across the industry.
- Deploy and develop pipelines and workflows that organize disparate data and make it meaningful.
- Collaborate with and guide a multi-disciplinary team that includes analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Use analytical exploration and data examination to support the assessment, design, building, and ongoing maintenance of analytic solutions for clients.
What you’ll need
- 3+ years of experience using programming and querying languages, including Python, R, Scala, or SQL.
- 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining data applications for reporting and analytics.
- 3+ years of experience creating software to retrieve, parse, and process structured and unstructured data.
- 3+ years of experience building scalable ETL or ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
- Experience delivering solutions in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Tools and technologies
You may work with technologies including IoT, machine learning, artificial intelligence, Python, R, Scala, SQL, ETL, ELT, Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, ArcGIS, and Maven Smart Systems tools such as Foundry. The role may also involve AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, and Kafka.

- Experience with data visualization or geospatial tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, or ArcGIS.

- Experience with distributed data or computing tools, including Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, or Kafka.
- Experience working within a Combatant Command or other DoD organization.
- Experience with Agile engineering practices.
- CompTIA Security+ Certification.
Clearance and security requirements
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Secret clearance is required.
Compensation
The projected compensation range is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary at Booz Allen is determined by factors including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Work model
Onsite: Work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, where employees collaborate directly with colleagues and customers as required by the role.
