Leidos is seeking a CMDB Data Engineer for an on-site role in Tampa, FL. In this position you will serve as the technical subject matter expert for CMDB, lead a team, and act as Deputy Program Manager on the USCENTCOM CITS contract with a focus on CMDB accuracy and data analysis. Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Program Manager for contract execution, strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk management
- Act as a secondary point of contact for USCENTCOM leadership and stakeholders, stepping in as PM when needed to ensure steady program delivery
- Directly manage a team of IT and data professionals, performing HR duties such as performance reviews, career development planning, mentoring, and approving timecards and leave
- Oversee recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding to maintain a skilled workforce
- Contribute to program evaluation, budgeting and resource forecasting, and communicate insights, risks, and plans to cross-functional teams and senior management
- Ensure CMDB accuracy while maintaining adherence to standard operating procedures across enterprise processes
- Analyze data and investigate issues using SQL and other query tools
- Manage the lifecycle of configuration items for IT services and assets from deployment to decommission
- Break down complex problems into practical, straightforward solutions
- Proactively analyze data to answer stakeholder questions and drive performance, communicating findings to stakeholders
- Define and document CI metrics across their lifecycle
- Gather information from multiple stakeholders to specify and validate business reporting or data extracts using data mapping and data quality techniques
- Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, identify improvements, and implement data-driven solutions
- Establish CM procedures and compliance standards, define responsibilities and authorities, and approve plans
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in data analysis, data science, configuration management, or related IT programs
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- 3+ years in a supervisory role managing technical personnel and assisting with program or project management tasks
- 5+ years of Configuration Management experience
- 5+ years with ServiceNow, including CMDB administration and integration
- Proven ability to ensure the quality, accuracy, and usability of the ServiceNow CMDB
- Ability to collaborate effectively with ServiceNow Administrators
- Experience configuring or integrating discovery tools and sensors with the ServiceNow CMDB to import data from authoritative sources while preserving data integrity
- Experience with data normalization prior to CMDB ingestion
- Ability to perform routine CMDB data audits
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to understand product demand and manage CMDB and platform data requirements
