Technical Support Engineer (Hybrid)

Hybrid-remote Technical Support Engineer based in Pittsburgh, providing remote and on-site IT support for endpoints, cloud infrastructure, servers, networks, and security with weekly in-office presence and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Configure, monitor, and maintain endpoints, cloud infrastructure, servers, and networks by troubleshooting and proactive upkeep.
• Set up, install, configure, and support endpoints and network equipment.
• Collaborate with Senior engineers who spend much of their time on project work; you may assist them on initiatives.
• Receive guidance from Senior Engineers as mentors to develop your skills.
• Participate in implementing endpoint, cloud, and network security measures.
• Join the on-call rotation approximately two to three times per year.
• Support is typically remote with occasional visits to client sites.
• All work dispatched from the Forest Hills office with access to a company vehicle.
• After onboarding and training, work a mix of in-office and client-site days.
• Visit one to five clients in a day as needed, with return visits until work is complete.
• Possible inclusion in an on-site rotation visiting certain clients weekly or monthly.

Requirements

• Must reside in the region due to weekly in-office attendance and on-site client support visits, in addition to remote days.
• Relocation from out of state should be noted; otherwise out-of-state candidates will not be considered.
• Minimum four years of post-graduation experience in a professional business environment.
• Recent graduates will not be considered; seeking an IT Support Engineer with progressive experience.
• Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on production environment experience for at least four years post-graduation.
• PowerShell experience and cloud infrastructure knowledge are valued.
• Must be able to earn new certifications as part of the job requirements.
• Driver's License required with proof of insurance; maintain a valid license.
• Ability to commute to Pittsburgh, PA 15221 (Required).
• Must pass a series of background checks.
• Hybrid role; out-of-state candidates are not encouraged due to weekly in-office requirement, with up to 2 days work-from-home; must live within the region.

Education and Experience

• Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience required
• Minimum four years of progressive, post-graduation experience with hands-on production environment work
