Job Description

Cybersecurity Engineer position with CGI Group in Columbus, OH, onsite, focused on resolving information assurance challenges and supporting Splunk ES based monitoring and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze threat information from multiple sources, including logs, intrusion detection systems, intelligence reports, and vendor sites.
  • Design and deploy customized Splunk ES dashboards; develop ES rules, reports, data monitors, active channels, and trend analyses to identify and elevate high risk items.
  • Administer and maintain the Splunk ES infrastructure, covering backend databases, upgrades, and daily maintenance.
  • Provide security engineering support across the information system lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, demonstrations, and integration.
  • Serve as a key resource and advisor for CERT Incident Handlers and site Information Assurance Managers, ensuring robust incident response and data mining optimization.

Requirements

  • Seven years of relevant IT experience.
  • U.S. Department of Defense Secret clearance.
  • Eligibility for IT I access.
  • IAT level III certification aligned with DoD 8570/8140.
  • CND-IS certification aligned with DoD 8570/8140.
  • Computing environment proficiency: Linux+ and Splunk Administrator.
  • Experience creating custom Splunk dashboards and reports using threat data.
  • Experience in the integration and sustainment of Splunk Core and Splunk Enterprise Security (ES).
