Software Engineer III - Java Full Stack Developer

Deloitte is seeking a Software Engineer III - Java Full Stack Developer to contribute to Value-Based Care initiatives by building Java/Spring services and APIs, front-end React components, and Python services in a healthcare-focused environment, onsite in Jericho, NY, with a salary range of USD 113,300 to 188,900 per year.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership: own architecture and implementation across front-end (React) and back-end (Python), ensuring code is maintainable and scalable.
• Data and database engineering: design schemas, write and optimize complex SQL queries, manage migrations, and boost performance.
• Engineering excellence: establish and enforce standards for code quality, testing, CI/CD, documentation, and observability (logging, metrics, tracing).
• Design, develop, and optimize scalable software for AI platforms and consumer devices.
• Integrate and automate load, stress, and real-user scenario testing within development and production lifecycles.
• Analyze, monitor, and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability challenges in complex systems.
• Collaborate with engineers working on custom hardware, embedded systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Apply advanced profiling, benchmarking, and system optimization techniques.
• Contribute to solution architecture, API design, security, and system integration.
• Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional/technical teams; escalate as needed for engagement management.
• Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes, including implementing leading practice workflows and driving operational outcomes.
