Dexa is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive the lifecycle of process and workflow applications, AI-enabled solutions, and UAS integration, while leading the software team with a focus on modular API integration and drone automation.
Responsibilities
- Senior-level leadership to manage local and remote teams for maximum impact and full integration of products and services.
- Design, build, and maintain fleet coordination, mission management systems, and modular API integrations for a diverse customer base.
- Develop software-driven automation solutions, including RPA and UAS applications.
- Create operator-facing dashboards, internal tools, and automation layers that leverage real-time operational data.
- Build processing and analysis pipelines for drone video and sensor data, incorporating computer vision and AI-enabled automation.
- Integrate with and extend autopilot and flight control systems (ArduPilot/MAVLink) to support autonomous aviation.
- Own projects end to end from problem definition through deployment, balancing multiple rapid priorities.
- Travel to operational sites (1-2 times per month) to observe live systems and identify real-world workflow improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering; other degrees may be considered with suitable experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in software engineering, automation, software development team management, and related roles.
- Full integration of an AI/ML programming environment to drive coding efficiencies.
- Proven ability to operate with high ownership, autonomy, and accountability.
- Strong hands-on builder capable of coding and shipping production-ready solutions.
- Experience with one or more of the following: RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate), general-purpose programming (Python, JavaScript, etc.), APIs, integrations, and data pipelines.
- Experience designing and implementing end-to-end automation workflows.
- Comfortable working across multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, able to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Position Summary
