DevOps Software Engineer - TS/SCI Cleared

This hybrid Bethesda, Maryland role provides the opportunity to contribute to the DOMEX platform modernization, with on-site work in Bethesda and some remote flexibility, and a salary range of USD 107,900 to 195,050 per year.

In this role, you will design, deploy, and maintain a containerized microservices stack and a production data pipeline, primarily on-site in Bethesda, MD with some remote flexibility, as part of the DOMEX platform modernization.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and sustain a containerized full-stack microservices ecosystem.
• Provide systems administration support, installations, configurations, and promote DevOps best practices across cross-functional engineering teams.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, architecture, development, security, operations, and integration groups to align on design and delivery.
• Deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain a production big-data pipeline powered by Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to accelerate development and improve reliability.
• Design and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
• Utilize Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features and evolving requirements.
• Partner with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities.
• Contribute technical input to engineering documentation, diagrams, and models.
• Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, design sessions, bug triage, and related team activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of relevant experience; 6+ years with a Master’s.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Strong Linux proficiency.
• Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
• Demonstrated success working in cross-functional engineering environments.
