Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily on-site support to Government and DoD personnel to maintain the security and reliability of the ISSE Guard and TMPC Network.
  • Execute maintenance tasks, patching, STIG implementations, troubleshooting, and vulnerability management for mission critical Linux systems.
  • Deliver full network engineering support covering planning, design, configuration, and ongoing operations.
  • Assess TMPC Network and LAN components and recommend new technologies to enhance mission capabilities.
  • Stay informed about evolving tactical capabilities and contribute to TMPC lifecycle development and modernization efforts.
  • Perform periodic security testing, support accreditation and certification documentation, and implement system upgrades.
  • Maintain LAN infrastructure, including firewall administration, access control management, VPN configuration, and switch/router updates aligned with baseline standards.
  • Develop solutions to complex technical challenges and share best practices across government and contractor teams.
  • Create, update, and refine security documentation; manage security activity schedules; and produce weekly and monthly LAN configuration reports.
  • Support information assurance and certification activities, advising stakeholders to ensure compliance with security policies and requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience administering Linux servers and workstations in small, complex network environments.
  • Proficiency with Linux system administration and file transfer protocols.
  • Active IAT Level II certification such as Security+.
  • US Citizen.
  • Currently holds an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI upon hire.
